Kookaburra Aura Pro 7.2 English Willow Cricket Bat - SH

Kookaburra Aura Pro 7.2 English Willow Cricket Bat - SH

Kookaburra Aura Pro 7.2 English Willow Cricket Bat - SH

English Willow with Pro-shield protective facing
Mid extended sweet spot higher up from the offset spine and extended lower down from offset edges

Returning for a second year in the Kookaburra range, the AURA offers a unique set up for explosive players. Featuring a 15mm shorter blade
and a low edge profile with an offset mid-high spine apex, these bats offer power without sacrificing energy output. With fiery new stickers, the AURA is sure to change the atmosphere of any game

SWEET SPOT POSITION = Mid

PREPARATION = Pre-Prepared: This cricket bat has been pressed and/or had extratec applied at its factory of origin. However, it still needs to go through the full hand knocking-in process. While this cricket bat sadly isn't ready for use against leather balls just yet, the preparation process is well on its way and can be completed easily.

BOW = Standard: The regular bow found in the majority of modern cricket bats which gets your hands slightly ahead of the ball for ease of stroke play. It also helps the cricket bat feel more aggressive.

EDGES = Big: These edges are heading close to the magic 40mm mark. Big edges make for a forgiving and powerful cricket bat with a wider sweet spot. Please be aware that junior bats can still have big edges but they will be relative to 40mm due to their size.

SPINE HEIGHT = High: A high spine maximises the hitting power of the centre of the cricket bat.

PROFILE SHAPE = Slightly Scalloped: A small amount of scalloping is seen in a very large amount of cricket bats. The goal is to save weight while still making the sweet spot as wide as possible. Even very high quality bats can contain a small amount of scalloping in order to reduce their weight.

FACE = Semi-Flat: One of the latest trends in cricket bat faces was born from the need to add some durability to the edges of flat faced bats. When prepared correctly semi-flat faces bring the benefits of slightly bigger edges, a wider sweet spot plus 'point and shoot' aiming of a flat face bat. A slight curve also allows batsman to be confident when using the wrists to manipulate the face angle.

HANDLE TYPE = Oval: Traditionally used to aid the batsman with having a more dominant top hand during stroke play allowing him/her to produce more controlled shots and play straighter. An oval handle also has the secondary benefit of less twisting when striking the ball.
